Wastewater System

HWC owns and operates a 1.5 million gallon designed wastewater treatment facility. The plant normally treats 900,000 gallons per day but is capable of operating at the 5.0 million gallon level for short periods of time. Our wastewater treatment facility has received the EPA's prestigious award for

 "Excellence in Operations and Maintenance".

Rates and Billing

• Sewer is billed based on the water consumption and is billed quarterly. 
• Minimum charge for a 5/8 inch meter is $54.48 per quarter based on 1200 cu feet or less.
• Anything over 1200 is $4.54 per 100 cu feet. 
  This rate stays the same no matter how much consumption is used. 
•  All sewer customers are tax exempt.
