Water System

Our Water system consist of supply, transmission, storage and distributions.  We serve a total of 1946 customers in Houlton and Hodgdon.

We are very proud of the quality of our water and make a constant effort to make it better and more reliable.  Our goal is to provide you with a safe and dependable supply of drinking water.

Here's how we read your water meter

  • You have a water meter installed in your basement and a touch pad on the outside of your home.  The meter reader does not need to go into your home to read the meter, he gets the read from the touch pad. 

Rates and Billing

  • Water is billed by cubic feet and billed quarterly. Your property location determines which 3 month billing cycle you will be on.
  • We have different sizes of water meters which all have a different minimum charge. 
  • A residential customer has a 5/8 inch meter and the minimum charge for water is $30.00 based on 1200 cubic feet or less, anything over 1200 cubic feet is billed $2.50 per 100 cubic feet.
